Hartland
I was in Hartland, NB yesterday visiting the longest covered bridge (in Canada?) and what was more breathtaking was the chunks of ice I saw floating down the river. It's spring and the thawing is pretty amazing to look at. Apparently, it's become really dangerous as well because the ice builds up as it floats and it came close to hitting the "longest covered bridge". Hence, we couldn't drive through the bridge, but we got outta the car and ran across it.
CBC - Meanwhile, a three-kilometre-long ice jam built up below the world's longest covered bridge in Hartland on Monday.
Excursion photos on the way- PEI, Hopewell Rocks, Lighthouses, Group Pics

There's always stuff to do in Freddy
Blue creps with fresh berries, Katima First! stephanie from Quebec made these..some french pride? i dunno
Fridays, my katima-mates play during open mike
Me at work at the MCAF office. Pretty relaxing atmosphere...so I'm pretty cheerful working there
I dunno why i never volunteered with SPCA at home...
Every Saturday Morning, I ritually go to this farmer's market. It's mostly food...and just like Richmond Nightmarket, I spend a lot of $$ here buying random things- lip balm, cheese, SAMOSAS, beef jerky, fresh juice
So far, I've been to 2 walking bridges which are both walking distance from my house and work. Fredericton is so pretty that I basically walk home everyday from work. It's about a 40 min walk, but the snow and cold doesn't really matter when I'm all bundled up doing exercise.

home sweet home...for the next 3 months
So I'm feeling really settled into Fredericton.
Been a whirlwind of activity - volunteering at the Guatemala fundraiser "Noche Latina", helping out at Fredericton's Winterfest, going downtown to Crumbs coffee shop lots, visiting the University of New Brunswick's campus pub, even sitting in on a "Community Problem Solving" 3rd year course at Renaissance College...Mmm. loving city life.
Starting work tomorrow...can't wait!
